Mrs. Aukes is repsonsible for the provision of nursing services for the students and employees of the North Iowa School District. She also assists with the health education needs of students and employees. Mrs. Aukes is also certified to teach Health Occupations at the high school level.
She graduated Cum Laude from Minnesota State Unviersity with a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing. Additional graduate courses were taken at the U of I and UNI to obtain licensure from the State Department of Education to teach Health Occuaptions at the secondary level. Her previous work experiences include nursing in a long-term care facility, hospital, public health and school. She also teaches community education courses through NIACC.
Mrs. Aukes interests outside of work include cooking, reading and spending time with her family. She is a member of the Buffalo Center ambulance and attends the First Refomed Church. Doug, her husband farms and she is the mother of Brooke, Wade and Bridget.
She enjoys many of Mother Teresa's teachings including the below quote.
