I have discussed his interest and developed the following course syllabus. The class will work through Blooms Taxonomy to provide Lucas with a basic knowledge of equipment and then apply this knowledge in operation. While Lucas does have some background knowledge in lighting, he has little experience in audio / video. The course will focus on THIS aspect vs. what he already knows.
This is an individual class.
Worth 1 semester of credit, but runs entire year.
Credit is pass / fail with required items for a passing grade.
- Label / Identification of all core equipment including: (Knowledge)
- Patch panel port labels
- Network port labels
- Sound board functions
- Cord / Mic storage areas including specific equipment
- Light board functions
- 90% attendance of auditorium events: (Application)
- Review requests
- Communicate clearly with customers
- Create plans for productions
- Research, install, and configure video projector with computer, DVD, and sound: (Synthesis)
- This will require research and some basic engineering.
