Background of JoAnn DeBoer
I was born in Sioux Rapids, Iowa, and attended Sioux Valley High School, graduating in 1980. I attended Westmar College in LeMars, Iowa, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in English and a minor in Speech Communications. I began my teaching career at Lakota Consolidated School in 1984 and continued here in 1987 when the North Iowa Community School District began a sharing agreement.
My life companion is the math instructor in Room 22 of North Iowa High School. We have two children, Abbey & Stephanie, who are both in college. Abbey has recently married the youngest son of the instructor in Room 107 and they have moved to Newell, Iowa. Stephanie is a freshman at the University of Northern Iowa.
