Brad Huntington, K-12 school counselor, has been teaching in the north Iowa area since January 1981 where he began teaching science and coached in the original Thompson High School. He is a graduate of Clear Lake High School, University of Northern Iowa (BA) Go Panthers!!!, and Mankato State University (MS). In the fall of 1991, Mr. Huntington became school counselor in the North Iowa Elementary School and has added new responsibilities each year and currently oversees the K-12 guidance and counseling program in the North Iowa Community School District.
Mr. Huntington's interests outside of school includes golf, hunting, fishing, raising birddogs, gardening and sports. He has served as an Iowa Department of Natural Resources Hunter Education Intructor since 1981. Mr. Huntington's favorite teams include the Minnesota Twins and the Indianapolis Colts. Mr. Huntington served as mayor for the city of Thompson in the late 1980's.
