- Graduated from Central High School, Waseca, MN.
- BS degree in Art and Speech/Theatre from Winona State University, Winona, MN.
- MA degree in Painting from Mankato State University, Mankato, MN.
- Began teaching career in the Buffalo Center School District.
- Currently teaching 2nd-4th grade art; and art, speech and theatre arts in the high school.
The high school art program consists of Art 1 and Art 2 as two comprehensive course offerings, Clay and Drawing & Painting as studios, and Art Portfolio for advanced study. Art Appreciation is a college credit class taught through the North Iowa Area Community College.
